Part of Reel Brazil: Mutinies in Video Art: CT20: JULY 2025

Curation & Cinematography: Nina Shen

Reel Brazil, creatively directed and co‑curated by Nina Shen, is a time-based media festival showing historic and contemporary video art, experimental film, and live and digital commissions. It examines systems of control, highlights outsider voices, and rethinks art as a tool for social and political change. The festival links Brazil’s post-dictatorship era with the UK’s Thatcher years—especially the UK National Disability Movement—to trace a history of creative resistance enabled by new technologies.
